Early voting starts October 14 and our clients need help getting to the voting polls. With 100% of our clients living below the poverty line, transportation to the polls is a luxury many do not have. Furthermore, the risk of being exposed to COVID-19 while being HIV+ makes it difficult for our clients to rely on public transportation.
At Friends For Life, we want to change that. That’s why we’ve created the “Lyft Up Your Vote” campaign.
We are committed to ensuring that our clients live well, and right now, that means empowering them through reducing transportation barriers and uplifting their right to vote. Your support will guarantee that all of our clients have the ability to vote between October 21 and Election Day.
Your gift will make our goal of getting 250 clients to the polls possible. For every $20.00 you give, we are able to provide a client with a Lyft to and from their polling location.
